Welcome to Ready-Made Cabinets K&W Kitchens does not manufacture or install Ready-Made Cabinets. If you've found this page we congratulate you on looking at all options for your new cabinets. However, as people have always said , "The devil is in the details." Yes, you can do it yourself – and yes, there are probably some ready-made cabinets of reasonably good quality out there. Before you make the plunge into a do-it-yourself project, or go through the process of remodeling with off-the-shelf cabinets, think twice about the horror stories you've heard - they're true! If you've decided, or thinking about, purchasing cabinets and countertops from a Home Improvement Store, you'll need to provide them with "Exact Measurements" of your cabinets and counters so they can generate a computerized printout. Your cabinets and counters will be ordered and "shipped" based on your measurements – or you can pay an additional $100 or so and they will come to your home and do the measuring. Did we mention shipping? Yes we did. Your cabinets will typically be ordered and shipped to you in approximately 6 - 8 weeks to your home. You'll need to be home to unload, receive and inspect them. If there's damage "you" deal with the shipping company directly, not the store. And if they ship the wrong cabinet(s) you'll have to get them back to the store and then wait 6 - 8 weeks for replacements. Or - you can simply call K&W Kitchens and let us do everything. A typical Complete Kitchen remodel project with Ready-made cabinets includes: 1. Design and layout new kitchen with homeowner. 2. Measure dimensions for cabinets and countertops.       (K&W does all the measuring) 3. Hire a contractor to tear out old cabinets.       (K&W is your licensed contractor and does all the work.) 4. Purchase new cabinets. 5. Purchase fillers & skins as needed for finished ends.       (Not required with K&W cabinets - ours are made to fit.) 6. Purchase molding for cabinets as crown or face molding.       (Included with K&W cabinets - and the color also matches.) 7. Hire a contractor to install your ready-made cabinets.       (If they were received in good condition and the right ones!)         (Remember - K&W is your licensed contractor with custom cabinets.) 8. Hire a contractor to tear out old countertops and blacksplash.       (K&W does that as part of our work - we also clean up after ourselves.) 9. Purchase new countertops and backsplash.       (Included with your K&W kitchen) 10. Hire a contractor to install your ready-made countertops and backsplash.        (Just because a guy can tear one out doesn't mean he can install a new one.) 11. Remove all appliances.        (K&W moves all appliances for you.) 12. Hire a contractor or appliance company to install and hook-up stove,       oven, refrigerator and microwave (if over the stove).        (K&W takes care of all that for you.) 13. Hire a contractor to remove plumbing fixtures such as sink, faucet,       garbage disposal and dishwasher.        (A lot of contractors - yes! - not if you use K&W) 14. Hire yet another contractor to install sink, faucet, garbage disposal and dishwasher.        (Yes - another contractor - that's why people report 3 - 6 months for some projects!) 15. Hire a plumber to hook up all plumbing.        (At least you'll know a lot of people like contractors.) 16. Remove flooring - if applicable - Yes, another contractor!        (K&W can also do the flooring) 17. Purchase new flooring.        (Have you counted how many showrooms you will need to visit yet?)          (K&W has everything in one place - take a walk through our showroom) 18. Hire a flooring contractor to install the new flooring.        (K&W takes care of that also.) 19. Purchase cabinet pull-outs for all those pots and pans.        (Maybe it's time to sort through all those)          (But it doesn't matter - K&W provides pull-outs automatically) 20. Purchase garbage pull-out.         (Yep - that's included too with K&W.) 21. Purchase Lazy-Susan.         (You guessed it - that's included too by K&W.) 22. Purchase tilt-out for sponges.        (You guessed that too! It's included by K&W) 23. Relax and Enjoy your new kitchen.        (Or perhaps not - did it turn out like you wanted?)          (K&W Guarantees all jobs!) Oh - you had K&W do your remodel - we can see the smile on your face! If you're still considering going the ready-made way, then make sure you ask all the important questions. • Are you a Licensed Contractor? • If so, what is your Contractors License Number? • Do you carry Liability Insurance? • Do you carry Workers Compensation Insurance? • If so, who is your Insurance Carrier? •How much time will it be from tear-out to complete installation?   (Typical time you will be without your kitchen is 6-8 weeks   depending on who you contract with - some kitchens take longer)   (Normally less than one week with K&W) •Can you provide names and addresses and/or phone numbers of   past customers so we can see your past remodeling projects?
